During the exhibition Kimsooja - Thread Roots

twelve women from Leiden with roots outside of The Netherlands come together at the museum atelier. They share their knowledge on textile handwork which is strongly linked with their cultural background. Conversations emerge on personal history with global themes such as migration, belonging, home, change, cultural transmission and adaptation.

This film was made to give inside about what happened behind closed doors when these women gathered to work on their end piece.
